Residential Proxies — FAQ
Generating Proxies
To generate residential proxies:
- Go to the Proxies tab on the left
- Select Residential Proxies
- Use the slider to set the number of IPs you want to generate
- Choose a session type — Dynamic or Static
Country Selection
You can select a specific country for your residential proxies when generating your list.
Session Types
Static Sessions
Static proxies maintain the same IP for the full session duration. They will not rotate when encountering site errors or failed requests. If the assigned IP becomes unavailable, the connection will fail.
Recommended for: Stricter checkout systems such as Shopify
Dynamic Sessions
Dynamic proxies attempt to keep the same IP, but will rotate to a new one if a connection failure or site error is detected.
Recommended for: Retail sites and general use
Checking Data Usage
To view your remaining data allocation:
- Go to the Proxies tab on the left
- Select Residential Proxies
- A progress bar will display your total allocation and current usage
Finalizing Your Proxy List
Once you have configured your IP count, country, and session type, click Generate to create your proxy list and copy it for use.
If you enable Backup Mode, generated residential lists use the fallback host resi-backup.lavishproxies.com with the same port instead of your primary endpoint. If Backup Mode is off, the list uses only the primary endpoint.
💡 Pro Tip: Monitor your data usage regularly to avoid running out during important drops.
